Acrylic (or PMMA) is a plastic material avaible in a wide range of colors including transparent tints. It is also avaible with matte finish. Acrylic is very sensitive to stress concentrations and sharing certain fragility with glass.
Engraving details shouldn't be lower than 1 mm.
Acrylic is known with other commercial names such as Plexiglass, Perspex, Lucite, etc.
Creating structures with acrylic could be complicated because of thickness variations in sheets.

It's not possibile to cut metals with laser
Wooden fiber materials can be cut and engraved without any problems.
Many woods are usable : plywood, MDF, veneered, cork, bamboo, fir, pine, beech and many more.
Alert: wood is a completely natural material and suffers thermal reactions, umidity etc. It is really hard to have a clean and flat sheet during laser processing.
We recommend to work with relatively small areas to avoid folds and other imperfections.
